Small, realistic improvements add up

For decades we have watched one ambitious transit project come and go after another. We've been for too long bogged down in petty arguments over modes - LRT, subways, RER, and been paralyzed by indecision over how to proceed.

It is great that things are finally being built. Eglinton should finish soon. Finch West is under construction. The Ontario Line, 100 years in the making, is finally happening. And we finally have some form of Bus Rapid Transit on Eglinton East in Scarborough.

My focus is on service improvements. Mass transit is how to move large numbers of people around the city and to make that happen it needs to be the fastest, most reliable, most pleasant travel mode there is.

As Councillor I will let Metrolinx handle the ambitious capital projects. My focus is on cost-effective, realistically deliverable projects.
